The problem
Photos, updates, and project details can become scattered across phones, messages, and folders. That makes it harder for field teams and office staff to keep a shared picture of the work.
The approach
I directed an AI-assisted platform for organizing field photos and project information. My work focused on requirements, user roles, workflow decisions, testing, and iteration around contractor operations.
From internal use to a separate demo
The original River Run application and the later standalone construction-portal demo are different versions. The demo presents project photos, updates, and shared reports; access to the workspace requires an account.
What I learned
A useful business application needs more than a polished screen. Permissions, uploads, saved records, handoffs, and recovery all affect whether a team can depend on it. Those details belong in the product work from the beginning.
Current status
The original system has been used in contractor operations. A separate demo and customer-pilot preparation are part of its continuing development. A demo is not a promise that every planned commercial feature is available.
